After Santa Clause (code name: Red One) (J. K. Simmons) gets kidnapped, the North Pole’s Head of Security (Dwayne Johnson) must team up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter, Jack O’Malley (Chris Evans) in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas (IMDB).
Johnson, Evans, Liu, and Simmons are fantastic choices for their roles and make this film fun to watch. This movie blends different Christmas characters and uses updated visual effects to enhance the experience. Sure, Santa is there, but there are also other major Christmas characters that have never been seen in the same storyline. The well-written characters portrayed by Johnson and Evans are fun to watch as they get to know each other while they try to save Christmas.
You might think that there is not enough room for yet another Santa Claus movie, but you would be wrong because this film is absolutely fun from beginning to end. Sure, it can be predictable, but the writing and updated perspective is refreshing. I fully expect this film to become another Christmas classic.
