SYNOPSIS: Mark and Alex embark on a journey to retrieve a cherished tank top worn by their idol, iconic 80s wrestler “Raging Abraham Lincoln,” after they are outbid by a grieving daughter, Tyler, determined to fulfill her late father’s wish to be torched in the shirt. As romance sparks between Alex and Tyler, Alex must choose between the love of his life and the ultimate piece of wrestling memorabilia.
Directed by Rob Taylor (Evil Cult, Neil Stryker and the Tyrant of Time, Zilla and Zoe) and written by Nic Costa (Neil Stryker and the Tyrant of Time, Evil Cult), who both also star in the film, the cast includes Emily Sweet (V/H/S/99), Matt Zak (Evil Cult), Darielle Mason (Half Sisters), Bryna Smith (Neil Stryker and the Tyrant of Time), celebrity impersonator Motch O Mann (world’s greatest Macho Man Randy Savage impressionist), Judy Levitt (Star Trek Movies), Joseph Aviel (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F) and actor/Instagram influencer w/ 7+ million followers Danielle Vasinova (British TV Drama Series “The Bay”, Taylor Sheridan’s “1923”).
The wrestling-themed, action-packed comedy stars Grammy Awards® Nominee, Primetime Emmy Awards® Winner, American Music Awards® Winner and Pop Icon Paula Abdul (“American Idol”), Eddie Griffin (A Star Is Born) and Saturn Awards® Nominee Walter Koenig (Star Trek movies and series).
Comedy in a film can be very entertaining for some audiences and not for others. This script and the associated “action” will undoubtedly appeal to individuals who enjoy collecting memorabilia (especially sports), but for others, maybe not so much. The film will be On Demand as of March 14th, and I have no doubt it will find an audience there as it is distributed in the United States. There are limited theaters where the film will be available on the big screen, including Galaxy Grandscape 15 and The Colony | Dallas, TX, but the film is perfectly suited for at-home entertainment or on your favorite device.
