You, Me and Tuscany

When a woman, Anna (Halle Bailey), crashes an empty Italian villa, posing as the owner’s fiancée, she discovers an unexpected romance with Michael (Rege-Jean Page), which may transform her life (IMDb.com).

Truth be told, the plotline here is nothing new, because we have seen it over and over again. That being said, it is a very well-written, acted, and well-made film. Being set in the Tuscan countryside is absolutely beautiful and is making me want to visit again.

I enjoyed Bailey in The Little Mermaid; she can definitely sing, but does not in this film. There is Page, who most know from his role as the dashing Duke in the first season of Bridgerton on Netflix. Both do a great job acting in this film, and the writing and supporting actors are quite hilarious.

Even though this film is completely predictable, it is entertaining and worth a look. But I would only pay for a matinee, or better yet, catch it on a streaming platform.
