By Mark Saldana Rating: 3.5 (Out of 4 Stars) This film really won my heart because of the genuine attempt to realistically portray people with mental illnesses and those suffering from oppression due to these illnesses and other non-traditional behavior. Taking place during the 1960s, Maladies tells a fictional story of a small group of… Continue reading 2013 SXSW Review: MALADIES

2013 SXSW Review: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
By Renee’ Collins Rating: 5 (Out of 5 Reels) I am a big William Shakespeare fan so when I read that Joss Whedon made a modern day version of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING to be screened at the South by Southwest film festival this year, I knew I couldn’t miss it. Apparently, Whedon shot the… Continue reading 2013 SXSW Review: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
2013 SXSW Guest Review: EVERYONE’S GOING TO DIE
By Jan Hamilton Rating: A+ Even though the title suggests a slasher film, nothing could be further from the truth. A delightfully quirky British indie, this film is a real gem. Two adrift people meet and wander the streets of English coastal city. Funny, serious and completely entertaining, this is a real find, highly recommended.
