Review: MALEFICIENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL

Rating: 4.5 (Out of 5 Reels)

Maleficient (Angelina Jolie) and her goddaughter Aurora (Elle Fanning) begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies, and dark new forces at play (IMDB).

All of the original main cast members are back in this latest installment of this Disney franchise. I for one think Jolie is the perfect choice for the role of Maleficient because it fits her movie persona of the tough and rough take care of yourself woman just like in a myriad of films she has done in the past. This film offers a wide variety of characters excellently portrayed by some great actors. Another one to mention is Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith who gives Maleficient a run for her money in the supposed evil category.

Disney spared absolutely no expense because this film is visually stunning. The costumes are spectacular and I am sure give the characters motivation to portray their characters. Sure, it is a bit long at two-hours and predictable but the ride is fun, visually stunning and extremely well-acted. This is a must-see film for any fan of this genre or Disney films.
