This film is a complete roller coaster ride from beginning to end. An art auctioneer, Simon (James McAvoy), becomes mixed up with a group of criminal partners and a hypnotherapist, Elizabeth (Rosario Dawson) in order to recover a lost painting.
This film is intense to say the least. The problem with Simon (McAvoy) is that he cannot remember what he did with a multi-million dollar painting that he and a group of criminals stole seemingly because he gets hit on the head during the heist. In comes Elizabeth (Dawson), a hypnotherapist to help get the answers out of his brain. Writers Joe Ahearne and John Hodge weave a wonderful web that in my opinion reveals just enough along the way as Simon trys to figure out what happened. 
This film is technically flawless visually and musically. It is rare when the music is so well done that I actually notice it in a good way because it only enhances this film. There are several gruesome scenes in this film so it is definitely not for the little ones. In fact, there is nothing here that a child will really understand and be able to keep up with.
This film kept me interested until the end which is something that doesn’t happen often. It is refreshing to watch a film in which all the characters are entertaining and has a plot that I can’t figure out before it happens. All in all, this film is worth a look but is definitely not for the young ones and I would pay full price to see it.
