Situational Comedy At Its Best!
The Threesome premiered at the 2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival in Austin Texas on March 7, 2025 to an adoring audience, myself included.
Chad Hartigan’s direction is wonderfully entertaining and when paired with this hilarious script and stunning performances by the leads, the result is an epic culmination that inserts ‘The Threesome’ with its naughty title, high-up in the annals of rom-com history.
You will have tremendous fun watching our main characters squirm with discomfort at the hilarity that ensues.
I found myself giggling uncontrollably in my seat for moments after a joke/funny line had come and gone. Where most of the humor is created is vastly situational. Ethan Ogilby has written an exceptionally funny story here, oozing with brilliant moments, where lines are delivered with expert comedic timing and which builds into a phenomenal climatic situation in the 3rd act.
Lead performances by Zoey Deutch, Jonah Hauer-King and Ruby Cruz are all absolutely glowing in this film, which is so expertly crafted when dealing with the certainly serious theme of abortion.
A standing ovation to everyone involved in this project
