“Agatha Christie meets Noises Off in this hilarious new farce. When The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society open their latest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, everything that could go wrong does. This makes for a very difficult evening for the intrepid troupe and a side-splittingly fun evening for you.”
I did enjoy the performance. At first, I was amused that things were not going smoothly in a very comedic way, I wondered why things are a bit off with the staff/actors. Then it hit me when things really started to go off the rails with things not in their place or strange things seem to emerge. I really enjoyed watching the interaction and performance of the actresses when one must stand in for the other and the costume change is a hoot. There are two actors with great physicality as well in their performance as they hold on to items that don’t seem to stay in place. No other details or spoilers here.
The performances are offered from Thursday – Saturday at 8:00 p.m. On Sunday, December 4th and 11th, the show is at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 18th two shows are available at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tickets start at $32-$38 with Pick-Your-Price Thursdays and Half-Price Student Discounts.
