2013 SXSW Guest Review: PRINCE AVALANCHE

By Jan Hamilton

Rating: A

With starts like Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch, this seemed like a can’t miss project. Starting slowly, the film catches fire in the second half, as the two guys, during the drugery of their summer road crew jobs, change and grow. Set in post wildfire Bastrop, the landscape is surprisingly beautiful. The the humor is subtile, the film is a pleasure for thoughtful viewers.
