¡Videos Musicales! is a showcase dedicated to highlighting the cinematic artistry of Latine/x and Indigenous musicians and filmmakers. The event spotlights how these creators use music videos to tell stories, preserve culture, and push creative boundaries. Featuring works from Argentina, Colombia, and the United States, the showcase includes music styles such as Latin Alternative, Cumbia, Zydeco, and Folk, with performances in English, Spanish, and French.
Latin Grammy nominee Gina Chavez curates this year’s selection.
¡Videos Musicales! 2026 – May 15 ’26 – 9:00PM – Lustre Pearl East (114 Linden St.)
Among the videos to be screened for this showcase are at least two Austin musicians who have submitted their video work. I found, among the Facebook posts, two artists who have announced that their submissions were accepted to this year’s festival. I do not know the total number of videos to be screened at the festival, but here are some reactions and information from the artists themselves.
Facebook post from Miguel St. Michael:
“What a dream. I’m thrilled to share that my music video “Cumbia Espiritual” will be screening at this year’s @cinelasamericasiff !!! Join us Friday, May 15, at the ¡Videos Musicales! Party happening at Lustre Pearl East from 9-11 PM.”

So happy to have 3 of my music videos chosen for @cinelasamericasiff! Can’t wait to attend next week in my hometown, Austin, Texas! After filming “Chonies,” I pushed it, then set it aside. I added it to my submissions for this festival, and it made Top 3! Maybe I should push it again…
