Global spy agency Citadel has fallen, and its agents’ memories were wiped clean. Now the powerful syndicate, Manticore, is rising in the void. Fortunately, the first two episodes of this Netflix series were shown at the screening. It definitely setup the series and made me want to see more. The actors are fantastic, it is well written and the special effects are great. The plotline is simple and laid out efficiently because it doesn’t spend an enormous amount of time setting the scene. I for one thank them for that because it is frustrating when they don’t just get to the point.
Madden and Chopra Jonas are perfect choices for their roles and are definitely convincing as super spies. We also see Stanley Tucci as Bernard Orlick who is their bad ass handler trying to help them save the world from the Manticore tyranny. I for one am looking forward to seeing the remaining episodes in the first season. Sure, the plotline here is nothing new but it is definitely a welcome addition to this genre because it is done so well. If it continues to be as interesting to watch then I definitely look forward to seeing more seasons into the future.
