Beautiful Creatures is out on DVD and Blu Ray in a special features powerpack. Since I am not the films target demographic, I found the film a bit juvenile and superficial. Still, the cast, save one, is strong and the special effects are actually pretty flawless. The combo pack offers some interesting looks at making the leap from page to screen and deleted scenes. SYNOPSIS
A supernatural love story set in the South, “Beautiful Creatures” tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.
