(Austin, TX)–Austin Film Society (AFS) is thrilled to announce the launch of new film editorial website, AFS Viewfinders. The site will be updated daily with articles, image galleries, videos and other material generated or curated by Austin Film Society staff and guest contributors.
AFS Viewfinders is a film culture website operated by the Austin Film Society. This is a new platform where the serious moving image enthusiast will find information, resources and opinions designed to deepen and broaden the appreciation of films current and past, domestic and foreign.
Through words and the moving image we will provide a fun, active, technologically fresh platform for world film culture as well as an online platform for expression of Austin’s own unique indigenous film culture.
Expect to have your filmgoing life enriched and expanded.
The site will host information about Austin Film Society’s programs and Austin Studios operations, as well as news and conversation about Texas’ creative community at large.
Lars Nilsen, AFS Programmer and AFS Viewfinders Editor says: “AFS Viewfinders is a place where all of us in the Austin film community – and beyond – can participate in discussions and share film cultural material that is relevant and exciting. Film culture comes from film people and we are happy to provide a place for film cultures to germinate and grow.”
AFS Viewfinders (www.afsviewfinders.com) is now live.
