Review: I FEEL PRETTY

By Renee’ C.

Rating: 3 (Out of 5 Reels)

A woman, Renee (Amy Schumer) struggling with insecurity wakes from a fall believing she is the most beautiful and capable woman on the planet. Her new confidence empowers her to live fearlessly, but what happens when she realizes her appearance never changed (IMDB)?

I admire Schumer’s ability to really put herself out there in her roles. Sometimes it can make you feel extremely uncomfortable but that is what makes her unique. Renee (Schumer) is an extremely insecure person but makes a complete turnaround after an accident because she truly believes that she has become everything she ever wanted to be. This transformation allows her to interact differently with the people around her which consequently changes her life.

Believing in yourself and not caring what others think about you is just the kind of message that needs to be put out three more often, especially to the younger crowd. This film is entertaining and funny at times and I hope it makes back the money it took to make it so that more along the same lines can be made in the future.
