Planes: Fire & Rescue is Disney’s second movie featuring plane Dusty Crophopper voiced by Dane Cook.  When Dusty learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he joins a forest fire and rescue unit to be trained as a firefighter (IMDB).

Disney has a unique way of bringing computer animated characters to life which allows the audience to become vested to a point.  Although most of Disney’s plot lines are tried and true the journey and the visuals are what make them worthy of watching.  Disney is best at teaching kids how valuable hard work, honesty and selflessness are in life and Planes: Fire & Rescue definitely gets that point across.

Actors must love voicing animated character because they don’t have to wear a costume or makeup.  They just need to show up and loose themselves in their characters; what fun it must be.  It is mind boggling how much money these actors earn especially for example someone like Tom Hanks who voiced the character of Woody in the Pixar Toy Story films.

This film is needlessly made in 3D but the kids will love wearing the glasses as well as seeing these loveable characters again but there isn’t much for the adult audience.
