Beck (Renée Felice Smith, from the CBS show NCIS: Los Angeles) directed, wrote and stars in this frothy flick. She and Liam (Matt Bush) meet and decide to take a trip to the desert. They are going as friends and assure each other they don’t want a relationship. The two charming leads keep our interest, as the film delves deeper into the problems that prevent the two from forming a healthy relationship that could someday become a foundation to build on.
The Bottom Line: this is a quirky bit of fun, with some support from Renée’s fellow cast members of NCIS: Los Angeles.
