Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) casts a forbidden spell that opens the doorway to the multiverse, including alternate versions of himself, whose threat to humanity is too great for the combined forces of Strange, Wong (Benedict Wong), and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) (IMDB).
I am a science fiction junkie and have seen all the Marvel superhero films over the years. This film is well-written with a depth in its characters. We see all the usual wonderful characters as well as a new one, America Chavez portrayed by Xochitl Gomez. Her character is a wonderful addition to the genre and Gomez does a great job here.
I also need to mention Olsen’s performance as Wanda because she portrays an absolute bad-ass who goes after what she wants regardless of the consequences. There are also a number of cameos and guest appearances that will shock and surprise everyone in a great way. This film is another fantastic addition to the genre and as usual, I look forward to seeing much more into the future. Considering there are about 26,000 Marvel comics there is definitely an endless supply of plotlines and characters from with to draw. I hope it will be an endless stream of movies into the future and I look forward to seeing them all.
