Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family (IMDB).

Chalamet and Zendaya return and again give great performances in this latest installment. The characters in this film are fascinating and have depth, which makes you care what happens to them. What I found interesting is how little screen time some of the main characters had. For example, Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Harkonnen and Dave Bautista as Beast Rabban. In the original film, these characters seemed to have much more screen time. However, their roles here are much more nuanced and pivotal to the plot.

The plot of this film goes in a different direction than the original. These films are faithful to the plotline of the books. I look forward to experiencing the third film because I am excited to see how it is going to end.

I felt Elation when watching this film because computer-generated imaging has finally advanced enough to give it such spectacular visual depth. The 1980s version of this film pales in comparison to these remakes. There is too much to this story to cover in one film.

You will enjoy this film if you are a sci-fi fan like me. There will be another film coming, and I look forward to it.
