Austin, TX – Tuesday, September 1, 2015 – Fantastic Market | Mercado Fantastico, which is Fantastic Fest’s genre film market, is pleased to announce that Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller, and Elijah Wood, partners and co-founders of SpectreVision, will be the market’s special guests for 2015.
The SpectreVision partners will open the market on September 24th with a special keynote presentation covering a variety of topics including the company’s origins, its approach to film development, production and financing as well as the operation of the company’s music division. In addition to their presentation, the world premiere of their newest ‘SpectreVision Presents’ title, Belladonna of Sadness, will be held at Fantastic Fest. The market runs from September 24 through September 26, 2015 in Austin, Texas. Fantastic Fest runs from September 24th to October 1st.

Cristina Garza, Vice President of Mundial, CANANA’s sales joint venture with IM Global, is sourcing projects from the region.

The SpectreVision productions of Cooties and A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night made their premieres at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Cooties was acquired by Lionsgate Films, and will premiere on September 18th. A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night was acquired by Kino-Lorber; it has been the recipient of numerous awards from film festivals throughout the world, and was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards. SpectreVision has also served as Executive Producer on such critically acclaimed films asToad Road, LFO:The Movie and Open Windows.Their production of The Boy, premiered at the 2015 South By Southwest film festival. It opened in the U.S. this August, and will continue to play at festivals worldwide throughout the year. The SpectreVision production of The Greasy Strangler wrapped in May of 2015, and principal photography for their next production will commence in October, 2015. SpectreVision also recently teamed with Cinelicious Pics and the Cinefamily in the 4K restoration of the long unseen 1973 Japanese anime feature, Belladonna of Sadness.In the five years since its inception, SpectreVision has expanded its focus, with new and exciting forays into the worlds of music, television, gaming and digital media.Wood, Noah and Waller were honored with the Visionary Award at the 2014 Stanley Film Festival for their contribution to independent film.
