(Austin, TX)–The Austin Film Society hosts a conversation with one of the best and busiest actors in Hollywood and indiewood alike, Kevin Corrigan at a Moviemaker Dialogue event on Monday, June 23rd at 7:30 PM at AFS at the Marchesa (6226 Middle Fiskville Rd). Corrigan will discuss his storied career from working on indie films to network television to Hollywood blockbusters, and his adventures collaborating with directors Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, Hal Hartley,Tony Scott, Michael Bay, Nicole Holofcener and Terrence Malick, among many others.
About Kevin Corrigan
Screen actor Kevin Corrigan is an icon of American independent film, having performed unforgettable roles in defining independent films of the 1990s such as TRUE ROMANCE, WALKING & TALKING, Oliver Stone’s ZEBRAHEAD, TREES LOUNGE and HENRY FOOL. His Hollywood roles have ranged from the dramatic to the hilarious, as Leonardo DiCaprio’s bad-seed cousin in Martin Scorsese’s THE DEPARTED to comic turns in the Judd Apatow productions SUPERBAD and PINEAPPLE EXPRESS. Recently, he appeared in Martin McDonaugh’s SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS alongside Michael Pitt, Woody Harrelson and Christopher Walken, WINTER’S TALE, with Colin Farrell and Matt Bomer, and Austinite Terrence Malick’s upcoming KNIGHT OF CUPS. He has collaborated on several other Texas indie projects in recent years, including several Bob Byington films and the Austin Film Society project SLACKER 2011.
