Review: ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

Rating: 4.5 (Out of 5 Reels)

As Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) balances being both a Super Hero and a father, Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past (IMDB).

This film is extremely well written and acted because not only is the plotline solid and well thought out but the returning actors are as funny as in the first film. Luis (Michael Pena) steals the show at times during this film because of his quirky overly verbose interactions with everyone. A great addition is Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) who as a child was exposed to the sub-atomic dimension that causes her cells to continually and painfully explode and fuse back together again.

The costumes are great, and the special effects are fantastic as expected. This second installment of the Ant-Man genre continues the Marvel dominance in the superhero genre. I would definitely recommend seeing this one on the big screen and at the IMAX if possible. I look forward to more into the future.
