Review: GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS

Rating: 2.5 (Out of 5 Reels)

The crypto-zoological agency Monarch faces off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah (IMDB).

I have seen the last couple of Godzilla films and I would recommend that rational science explanations be left at the door. I mean, we are talking about Godzilla here. A creature that lives under ground and water? I am not sure because we see him thrive in both but either seem to work for him.

Basically, there are a bunch of hibernating creatures throughout the world that get out and must be stopped or controlled by Godzilla to save the human race from extinction. Just the run of the mill plot for Godzilla. He is on this planet to help the humans even if we don’t like it.

The special effects are great in this film and the acting is not as over the top as the previous films in a way. These films are becoming routine because we are seeing basically the same thing over and over again with a slightly different enemy. I am sure the younger crowd will like this film and it will make money which means we will probably see more into the future. Lucky for us, right?
