Review: JUSTICE LEAGUE

Rating: 4.5 (Out of 5 Reels)

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), to face an even greater enemy (IMDB).

This film is visually stunning because the computer-generated effects are superb and add to the storytelling and depth of this film. I expected nothing but the best because I knew that DC Comics is trying to compete with the Marvel Comics franchise.

The Aqua Man (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Flash (Ezra Miller) characters are new to me as I have never been a comic book fan and therefore have never read any of them. I enjoyed the well-written characters and more importantly how they interact with each other. There is just the right amount of humor, which also endears these characters to the audience.

Being a science fiction junkie, I have seen all of the superhero films and am looking forward to seeing more into the future. I have heard grumblings that the comic nerds hate this film. Since I am not familiar with these characters, I took the film at face value and loved every minute of it. For the haters, I say take a step back and realize there is a wealth of background on these characters that is too much for just one film. I highly recommend this film and would recommend seeing it on the big screen.
