SXSW 2019 Preview of Films featuring Latinos – Local and International

By Liz Lopez

The SXSW Film Festival has many films in the Global category, including films from Latin America, Spain and Portugal, as well as films by Latinos in film within the United States. These films are an important part of the yearly SXSW Film Festival and many are making their premieres in Austin. Some may not have a theatrical release in the United States and it is a great opportunity to attend and catch the films that you may not otherwise view.

Here is a list of films below that may be of interest offered from March 8th to the 16th.

In case you are aware of past SXSW activities, Casa México returns from March 8th – 10th at the Mexic-Arte Museum, located at 5th and Congress, where you can enjoy many activities, including live music, entrepreneurship and cultural conferences, Mexican food, art exhibitions, and more.
