Review: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

By Renee’ Collins

Rating: 4.5 (Out of 5 Reels)

When Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and it is up to the Avengers to stop the villainous Ultron (David Spade) from enacting his terrible plans (IMDB).

The entire fantastic crew is back in this latest installment in the Avengers saga.  Including a few new comers Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).  It is refreshing to watch these characters grow in their relationships with each other as well as within themselves throughout the course of this movie.  We learn new more personal aspects about some of the existing characters and begin getting to know the new ones as well, all a welcome addition in my opinion.  James Spader is an excellent choice and does a great job as the voice of Ultron the villain in this film.

As to be expected no expense was spared and this film is as visually stunning as the first installment.  Fans of the genre will thoroughly enjoy this film because it is not only visually entertaining but actually intellectually entertaining as well which I thoroughly attribute to the genius of director and writer Joss Whedon.  Alas, this will be the last installment by Whedon but here is hoping for more fun and intelligent entertainment into the future of this franchise.
